A Kansas native, works on abandoned cemetery preservation and conservation as well as educating people about cemeteries and headstones. From collecting postcards to preserving artifacts of personal interest, Dustin's passion is helping others understand the importance of maintaining local history. He volunteered at Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita, he interpreted a Kansas undertaker. He was also a member of the National Amusement Park Historical Association.​
